How data sharing works

We only share your verification results with organisations you explicitly approved. Every transfer is logged, time-limited, and revocable.

Sharing workflow (step-by-step)

1

Organisation requests access

A verified Cleared client submits a data request with purpose, retention period, and consent reference.

2

Consent validation

We confirm you approved this specific organisation to receive your data for this exact purpose.

3

Data packaging and signing

Results are packaged with tamper-evident digital signatures and encrypted for transit.

4

Secure delivery

Data is delivered via HTTPS API or secure portal download. Delivery receipts log timestamp, IP, and recipient user.

5

Audit trail and expiry tracking

Every share is logged. Clients receive expiry reminders. You can revoke access anytime via your Cleared dashboard.

Controls that protect every transfer

Verified recipients only

We share data only with organisations that have completed Cleared's company verification, signed data processing agreements, and passed security reviews.

Purpose-bound permissions

Each consent specifies purpose (e.g., employment screening, loan application). If the purpose changes, we ask for fresh consent.

Tamper-evident delivery receipts

Digital signatures prove data integrity. If someone alters results in transit, the signature breaks and the recipient is alerted.

Revoking access or correcting shared data

If you want to revoke an organisation's access to your data, log in to your Cleared account or contact us at support@cleared.id. We will notify the organisation and stop further sharing. If data was already downloaded, we cannot retrieve it, but we will log the revocation and inform you of next steps.
